about.

My interest in art sparked in high school when I took a ceramics class. I quickly realized that art was another way for me to express myself without using my words. What ever was in my head i could create in a second and that was so fascinating to me. The summer of my junior to senior year I attended California State Summer School of the Arts. This is where I was introduced into other forms of art. I not only had a ceramics class but I also took a film photography class, figure drawing class and an art history class. My senior year of high school I was the only student in my AP ceramics class so I had a whole studio to myself and got to create an art portfolio of my ceramic pieces.

After high school I couldn’t continue doing ceramics because I didn’t have a way to fire my pieces so I took up painting. I started painting family members and some self portraits. I sent pictures of my ceramic pieces and paintings to an art gallery curator in the bay area. And he contacted me right away asking me if I wanted to be a part of Nosotros a Latinx art show in Berkeley. I sold my first piece at that art show. It blew my mind that people other than my family actually liked my art so I decided to make an Etsy page to sell more of my art. I started making shirts and stickers and put those up on my Etsy. I also sell my artwork at a store in Midtown Sacramento called Kulture! Working with them has opened up so many doors and I couldn't thank the owners enough for all the things they have done for me.  To the people who have supported me and have continued to do so thank you so much for everything.
